Make your outfit outstanding with costume contact lenses
Cosplay means make the most of your look with the most stunning costume contact lenses.
I’m sorry, but if you don’t use costume lenses for your Cosplay outing, then you are really wasting a golden opportunity and it should really be illegal. Yes, that’s right! A law should be passed that says you MUST wear costume lenses if you are going to call yourself a Cosplayer.
That might sound harsh and a bit OTT but the fact is you can never look as good as you could without the right coloured lenses working for you.
It’s really not brain surgery to realise that coloured contacts have a special power all their own. It’s no surprise that celebs and the top Cosplayers use that power to get a look that is a winner.
The only question is, where do you find those super Cosplay lenses?
Cosplay contacts that hit the right note
In case you didn’t know, Cosplay lenses are a special range of coloured contact lenses. And if you didn’t know, where have you been?
If you ever see or get yourself to a Cosplay event like Comic Con or Supanova, even a local Cosplay party, one of the first things you will realise is that you need to put in more than a bit of effort. Any costume should be as close to the real deal as possible and that means going all out on detail.
What’s one of the special ingredients that gets a costume really cooking?
Yessss – it’s those costume contact lenses.
Good job! And if you are doing your job as a participant, then you need to show that you didn’t just think about your costume last night and you respect the invitation by dressing up to the max.
There’s nothing more insulting than turning up to say a Fancy Dress party and not dressing up. In a Cosplay situation, it’s a bit like a full on slap in the face to all the Cosplayers who have made their effort to look amazing and you just go half-baked like you don’t care.
Don’t do thaaaat. It’s not good etiquette and just super poor form. Better to just go as yourself and check out that people who give a shizzle about characters and their costumes.
Some people don’t really get the Cosplay thing and are a bit too careful-careful when it comes to dressing up.
Is it okay to Cosplay?
You can sometimes see messages about this question or even hear people ask.
It’s more than okay to Cosplay and it’s a hell of a lotta fun to become someone or something for a little while, especially if you love the look of the character.
There are some duds, doofuses and dinguses who don’t know anything about common sense or what is bad taste. Dressing up in something offensive deliberately is just the capital city of Idiot Land and not knowing it’s offensive is almost as bad.
If you’re not sure that your outfit is full on wrong, then ask a close friend or someone you know who has a guts to tell you the truth. (Garry, that dead celebrity outfit was never close to a good idea).
There is a whole world of great outfits and ideas that you can explore without having to trespass into the bad taste zone.
